R ESOLUTION N O. 2017-028
R ESOLUTION A CCEPTING D ONATION OF 40 S TUFFED A NIMALS FOR
P UBLIC S AFETY O UTREACH P ROGRAMS
WHEREAS, police officers, firefighters and children’s advocates frequently work with children
in crisis; and
WHEREAS, stuffed animals play an important role in helping police officers, firefighters and
advocates comfort children in difficult situations or crisis; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund and PetSmart have 40 stuffed animals
they would like to donate to the Public Safety Department to help officers, firefighters, and child
advocates help children in crisis and to support our public safety outreach programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the donation of 40 stuffed animals for Public Safety outreach programs is accepted.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 24th day of January 2017.
