R ESOLUTION A CCEPTING D ONATION OF F IVE-40 MM T ACTICAL S INGLE
A CTION L AUNCHERS FROM THE L ITTLE F AMILY F OUNDATION AND THE
P LYMOUTH C RIME AND F IRE P REVENTION F UND
WHEREAS, less-than-lethal weaponry technologies play an important role in bringing potentially fatal,
police-citizen encounters to more desirable resolutions; and
WHEREAS, the 40 MM Tactical Single Action Launcher allows officers to deploy a less-than-lethal, rapid
response from a greater distance to a situation, thereby providing officers with another tool to protect
themselves and the public; and
WHEREAS, The Little Family Foundation has donated $6,464.70 to the Plymouth Crime & Fire
Prevention Fund to purchase five 40 MM Tactical Single Action Launchers for the Plymouth Police
Department. The Plymouth Crime and Fire Prevention Fund will dedicate an additional $515.30 to the
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the donation of five-50 MM tactical single action launchers from The Little Family
Foundation and the Plymouth Crime and Fire Prevention Fund is accepted.
Approved by the City Council on this 10th day of January, 2017.
