R ESOLUTION N O. 2016-353
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING 2017-2018 T REE R EMOVAL,
T RIMMING AND H AULING C ONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Park & Forestry Division will act on the 2017-2018 Tree Removal, Street Tree
Trimming & Hauling on City owned lands program; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with City bids, specifications were proposed and distributed and bid
proposals were received and opened on November 1, 2016; and
WHEREAS, thirteen contractors received bid specifications, and three valid bids were received
by the City; and

WHEREAS, Ostvig Tree has performed satisfactorily for the City of Plymouth the past two years
and for the City of St. Louis Park for the past 10 years in a similar capacity; and
WHEREAS, the bid of Ostvig Tree is in conformance with City specifications for tree removal,
street tree trimming & hauling. Ostvig Tree is therefore declared lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the City accepts the proposal of Ostvig Tree for fiscal years 2017-2018.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, those funds are authorized from Parks and Forestry operations
budget.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 29th day of November, 2016.
