R ESOLUTION N O. 2016-327
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING 2016-2017 P ARKING L OT AND
T RAIL/S IDEWALK S NOW R EMOVAL R OUTES
WHEREAS, the Parks and Forestry Department annually removes snow from designated
parking lots and trails/sidewalks in the City; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has recommended a snow removal
program for parking lots at City Hall and Police Garage, Plymouth Ice Center and Lifetime Fitness,
Plymouth Creek Center and Fieldhouse, Parkers Lake Lakeside, Parkers Lake Playfield (sections),
LaCompte Playfield, Plymouth Playfield (sections), East Medicine Park (sections), West Medicine
Lake Park (sections), Lake Camelot Park, Plymouth Dog Park, Bass Lake Playfield, Zachary Playfield,
Ridgemount Playfield and Plymouth Creek Playfield; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has recommended the snow removal
program for the same trails/sidewalks as the 2015-2016 Trail & Sidewalk Snow Removal Map; and
WHEREAS, staff is recommending approving new trail on east side of Fernbrook Lane from

46 Place to Empire Lane (school), new trail on east side of Holly Lane from Old Rockford Road
until trail ends (school), new trail on east side of Peony Lane from Schmidt Lake to Maple Grove
st
border (school/transit), new trail on west side of Peony Lane from 51 Avenue N to Maple Grove
border (school/transit), new trail on east side of Vicksburg Lane from Old Rockford Road to Maple
Grove border (school/transit/comm./mass density), new trail on west side of Vicksburg Lane from
Schmidt Lake Road to Maple Grove border (school/transit/comm./mass density) and new trail on
south side of Old Rockford Road from Dunkirk to Vicksburg (school) to the 2016-2017 Trail &
Sidewalk Snow Removal Map; and
WHEREAS, funding for the snow removal in parking lots and on trails/sidewalks is included
in the Parks and Forestry operating budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the 2016-2017 Parking Lot and Trail/Sidewalk Snow Removal Program is hereby
approved.
