HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2016-308 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2016-308 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING A H OME O CCUPATION L ICENSE FOR J ACQUELINE E VERS TO O PERATE A C OUNSELING B USINESS OUT OF THE HOME LOCATED AT 3430 M ERRIMAC L ANE N ORTH (2016064) WHEREAS, Jacqueline Evers has requested a home occupation license to operate a couseling business from her home at 3430 Merrimac Lane North, legally described as follows: Lot 7, Block 2, Heather Run 4th Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and does approve the request by Jacqueline Evers for a home occupation license at 3430 Merrimac Lane North, subject to the following conditions: 1. The home occupation license is approved for a counseling business in accordance with the application and plans received by the city on August 1, 2016, except as amended by this resolution. 2. Compliance with section 21145 of the zoning ordinance, relating to home occupations. 3. The applicant must meet the following general standards: a) The applicant shall have no more than 10 client appointments per day. b) The home occupation shall be clearly incidental and secondary to the residential use of the premises, shall not change the residential character of the neighborhood, and shall not result in a disturbance to the surrounding uses. c) The applicant shall use the driveway to acommodate parking demand. On-street parking shall not be utilized for parking. d) Less than 25 percent of the gross floor area of the home shall be used for the home occupation. e) No person other than those who reside in the home shall be employed on the premises. 4. Any subsequent expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per ordinance provisions. Resolution 2016-308 2016064 Page 2 5. The home occupation license is valid for one year from the date of approval. After the intial license period, the Zoning Administrator may reissue the home occupation license for periods of up to three years each.
