R ESOLUTION N O. 2016-305
R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT
FOR THE S CHMIDT L AKE S TORM W ATER R EHABILITATION (15004)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Schmidt Lake Storm Water Lift Station
Rehabilitation, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were
received complying with the advertisement:

Penn Contracting, Inc $286,700.00
Minger Construction Co, Inc $303,250.00
Geislinger & Sons $316,200.00
Pember Companies, Inc $358,600.00
Engineer’s Estimate $295,446.60
WHEREAS, it appears Penn Contracting, Inc. of Blaine, MN is the lowest responsible
bidder, complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
contract for the bid with Penn Contracting, Inc. of Blaine, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for
the Schmidt Lake Storm Water Lift Station Rehabilitation according to the plans and specifications
therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of
$286,700.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for this project shall be from the Water Resources
Fund in the amount of $354,535.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 27th day of September, 2016.
