HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2016-289 CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2016-289 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING F INDINGS OF F ACT FOR THE R EZONING OF L AND LOCATED AT 15530 AND 15600 O LD R OCKFORD R OAD (2016037) WHEREAS, St. Barnabas Lutheran Church has requested reclassification of the zoning from RSF-1 (single family detached 1) to PUD (planned unit development) for roughly eight acres located at 15530 and 15600 Old Rockford Road; and WHEREAS, the affected property is presently legally described as Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, St. Barnabas Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected land from RSF-1 to PUD. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and does approve the request for reclassification of the zoning from RSF-1 to PUD for roughly eight acres legally described above, based on the following findings: 1. The PUD zoning district and proposed hospice use would be consistent with the LA-1 guiding and with the intent of the zoning ordinance. 2. The use would provide an additional life-cycle housing opportunity. 3. Adequate transition exists between the proposed site and the closest existing homes. 4. Adequate infrastructure would be available to support the proposed development for this site. APPROVED by the City Council this 13th day of September, 2016.
