R ESOLUTION N O. 2016-238
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P URCHASE OF L IGHTING F IXTURES
F ROM L UMEN S IGNS AND L IGHTING FOR THE
P UBLIC W ORKS F ACILITY E XPANSION P ROJECT (15020)
WHEREAS, the 2016 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and Facilities Management budget
includes the purchase of lighting fixtures for The Public Works Expansion Project; and
WHEREAS, the payback after total incentives is approximately 3.9 years with a five year
warranty on material and a one year warranty on labor; and
WHEREAS, the new technology will make it much more efficient, with significant energy
savings and minimal maintenance of the fixtures; and
WHEREAS, the growth of the City has increased, leading to the need for the expansion of the
Maintenance Facility and the lighting fixtures needed for this project; and
WHEREAS, Lumen Signs and Lighting is a member of the Hennepin County Purchasing
Cooperative.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the purchase of lighting fixtures from Lumen Signs and Lighting for the Public Works
Facility Expansion Project in the amount of $120,432.00 is hereby approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 9th day of August, 2016.
