HomeMy WebLinkAboutHousing & Redevelopment Authority Resolution 94-638CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 94 638 AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH'S APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPM33NT (HUD) FOR COMMUNITY DEVELAWMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 1995. WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is required to provide the Department of Housing and Urban Development an application for the Community Development Block Grant Program, including appropriate citizen participation, goal establishment and implementation plans and procedures; and, WHEREAS, on September 28, 1994, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority held a duly constituted public hearing to allow interested parties to express their opinion; and, - WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority regarding the proposed activities and program amounts for Fiscal Year 1995; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HAY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does direct the City Manager to submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development the application and all other required documents for participation in the Fiscal Year 1995 Community Development Block Grant Program for the following projects in the respective proposed amounts: 1. Rehabilitation Grant/Loan Program a. Administration of Activity $ 5,000 b. Grams/loans to homeowners 45,444 Subtotal $50,000 2. Child Care Assistance 15,000 3. First Time Homebuyer Loan & Development Program a. Administration of Activity 28,000 b. Land Acquisition and Grams/Loans 172,400 Subtotal $200,000 4. Plymouth. Park and Recreation a. Administration of Activity 100 b. One-on-one Assistance 4.244 Subtotal $5,000 S. Contingency Fund $10,000 6. Administration of Overall CDBG Program $40,000 Total 320,000 Further, that any additional funding received over $320,000, be allocated on a 50:50 basis to the First lime Homebuyer Loan & Development Program and for the Contingency Fund.
