HomeMy WebLinkAboutHousing & Redevelopment Authority Resolution 93-08HRA RESOLUTION 93-08 RESOLUTION TO pET1TION THE OCRBASB FAIR MARKET RENTS OUSING AND URBAN DEV ELOPMENT(HUDAUNNEAM FMR) FOR THE CITY Oir PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA WHEREAS, the March, 1993 no survey done for the City of Plymouth indicates that the average apartment rent in the City is 109 percent of FMR for a one bedroom unit; 110 Percent of FMR for a two bedroom unit and 116 percent of PMR for a 3 bedroom unit; and, WMUtEAS, the HUD/Washmgton Office is proposing some FMRs to be decreased rather than increased; and, WHEREAS, Current PMRs are not adequate to meet the projected needs of new Section 8 renters as based on the March, 1993 rent survey; NOW, 1iII 01tB, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE HOUSING AND RBDBVBLOPMBNT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, to direct the Acting Community Development Director to petition the HUD/Mmneapolis Office to increase the City of Plymouth PMRs by bedroom size as follows: One bedroom unit $588 Two bedroom unit $693 Three bedroom unit $946 Further, that these new PMRs would go into effect as soon as approval is granted by HUD.
