Special Council Meeting
April 26, 2016
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on April 26, 2016.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Beard, Johnson, Willis, Prom,Wosje,
and Carroll
ABSENT: None. Mayor Slavik and Councilmember Carroll left the meeting at 6 p.m.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Community Development Director Juetten, Public
Works Director Cote,Administrative Services Director Fischer, Park and Recreation Director
Evans, Economic Development Director Parr, Police Chief Goldstein,Administrative Services
Intern Hansen, and Office Support Representative Gottschalk.
Medical Cannabis Ordinance
Community Development Director Juetten discussed the background for the proposed ordinance
amendments. He noted in 2015, the Council prohibited all cannabis-related uses,but directed
staff to bring back proposed regulations allowing use in selected areas of the City. He
highlighted those proposed zoning districts and requested comments from the Council.
The Council provided direction to staff and requested further maps regarding the 1,000 foot
restriction from religion institutions. This item would come back to the Council at a regular
meeting.
Set Future Study Sessions
The Council scheduled a study session on June 14th at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the Public
Improvement Special Assessment Policy.
Adjournment
Deputy Mayor Willis adjourned the meeting at 6:33 p.m.
