HomeMy WebLinkAboutHousing & Redevelopment Authority Resolution 86-09HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY CITY of PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,. a regular meeting of the Housing and is Redevelopment Authority of the City of Plymoutn, Minnesota, was held on the 18th day of August, 1986. The following members wera present: Chairman Del Erickson and CommissionersCrain and Bakke The following members were absent: Commissioners Hillstrom and Neils Commissioner Bakke letroduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86-09 RECOMMENDING MAT THE PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZE PLYMOUTH TO ACT AS LEAD COMMUNITY IN INITIATING A 30INT AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS PARK AND TOWA BAY FOR fHE SUBURBAN "HOUSE DOCTOR" PROGRAM T9 BE FUNDED BY MINNEGASCO AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA'S DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is willing to act as a sponsoring unit of government and lead community for the communities of Plymouth, St. Louis Park and Tonka Bay in the project titled the Conservation Improvement Program, also known as the Suburban House Doctor Program, to be conducted for a period beginning fall of 1986 and to coptinue for one year; and, WFIEREAS, The City is required by the program to apply to the Minnesota Department of Epergy and Economic Development for funding of this project on behalf of the three communities of Plymouth, St. Louis Park and Tonka Bay,and that Plymouth will provide 41 $300.00 "in kind" contribution to consist of City staff time, conference room use, xeroxino and City .Letterhead stationery; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Plymouth that the PIymouth City Council be recommended to: 1. Authorize the Wqu r aril City Manager to have Plymouth execute certifications as required by r -+c '5tate of Minnesota's Department of Energy and Economic Development any A•4&_-4&_succi agreements as are necessary to .implement the project named aWkz. 2. Authorize the Mayor. and City Manager to apply as a sponsoring unit of government and lead community for the communities of Plymouth, St. Louis Park and Tonka Say in the prefect tit.Led the Conservation Improvement Program, also known as the Suburban Huse Doctor Program, to be conducted for a period beginning fall of 1986 and to continue for one year. 3. Authorize the Mayor and City Manager to apply to :tie Minnesota Department of Energy and Economic Development for funding of this project on behalf of the three comimunities of Plymouth, St. Louis Park and Tonka Bay. 4. Authorize the City Manager to provide $300.00 "in kind" contribution to consist of City staff time, conference room use, xeroxing and City letterhead stationery. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Crain , and upon vote biting taken thereon, the following voted In favor thereof: omm ss oners Ericksoni, Crain and Bakke The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared dully passed and adopted.
