R ESOLUTION N O. 2016-149
R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR
P ONDEROSA S TREET R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT (16008)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Ponderosa Street Reconstruction
Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids were
received complying with the advertisement:

Park Construction Company $1,297,380.08
Northwest Asphalt $1,299,279.46
$1,473,965.80

$1,574,500.30
Midwest Civil Constructors
Engineers Estimate $1,101,308.50
WHEREAS, New Look Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum
qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to New Look Contracting.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract with New Look Contracting in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Ponderosa Street
Reconstruction Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council
and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $1,233,347.90.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the project would be funded from the following sources:
assessments in the amount of $207,582.24, the Street Reconstruction Fund in the amount of
$845,439.30, the Water Fund in the amount of $319,501.05, the Water Resources Fund in the amount
of $36,570.00, and the Sewer Fund in the amount of $9,257.50.
