R ESOLUTION R ECEIVING P RELIMINARY E NGINEERING R EPORT, O RDERING
P REPARATION OF P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND C ALLING FOR A P UBLIC H EARING
FOR THE 2016 P UBLIC W ORKS M ILL AND O VERLAY P ROJECT P HASE II (16019)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted April 26, 2016, a report has
been prepared with reference to the recommended project area including the following locations. The
streets southeast of Northwest Boulevard and southwest of West Medicine Lake Drive including 31st
and 32nd Avenues and Pineview and Quinwood Lanes in the subdivision known as Heritage Ridge Plat
Two; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the edge mill and overlay of streets, and all
necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on April 26, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report
and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated 2016 Public
Works Mill and Overlay Project Phase II, City Project No. 16019, for all or a portion of the
cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953,
Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $145,649.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 24th day of May,
2016, in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at
7:00 p.m., and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and
improvements as required by law.
3. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the improvement.
They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
