ESOLUTION UPPORTING PPLICATION FOR
“OB”
PEN TO USINESS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the “Open to Business” program is a small business and entrepreneur technical assistance program
provided by the Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD) through a partnership with Hennepin
County; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County provides an opportunity for cities to participate in the “Open to Business” program
which supplies technical expertise and a range of services including business plan development, feasibility studies, cash
flow and financing projections, marketing, preparing loan requests, and advocacy with lending institutions; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to submit an application for participation in the “Open to Business” program
and a grant request for $8,750,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that
the submission of an application for participation in the “Open to Business” small business and entrepreneur technical
assistance program through Hennepin County is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the application is approved and a grant of $8,750 is provided by Hennepin
County, the City agrees to provide $8,750 for half of the total cost of the program equaling $17,500.
