ESOLUTION UTHORIZING THE SE OF OMPARABLE ORTH ESOURCE

LANNING UNDS FOR ONVERSION TO OB VALUATION YSTEM

AND URCHASE OF OB VALUATION OFTWARE
WHEREAS, Minnesota statutes require that all local units of government establish equitable
compensation relationships between male and female employees; and
WHEREAS, the City has been using the Decision Band Method (DBM) for job evaluation
since 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City desired a job evaluation system that could be maintained in-house,
was used by comparable metro-area cities, and would be supported for the long-term by a local
consulting team; and
WHEREAS, after a review of available options, staff recommended converting to Springsted’s
SAFE job evaluation system,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that payment in the amount of $12,300 from the Comparable Worth Resource Planning
Fund to Springsted, Inc. for its services and software is hereby approved.
