ESOLUTION PPROVING AN MENDMENT TO THE ERSONNEL OLICY

ONCERNING ARTICIPATION OF ATROL ARGAINING NIT IN A
HCSA(HCSA)
EALTH ARE AVINGS RRANGEMENT
WHEREAS, staff is recommending the incorporation of a new benefit for police officers, a post-
retirement health care savings arrangement; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Policy must be amended by resolution to reflect the additional benefit;
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that this benefit be approved for the LELS Patrol
Bargaining Unit; and
WHEREAS, the proposed language is hereby added to 3-15.7 of the Personnel Policy:
For City employees who are members of the LELS Patrol Bargaining Unit, the following shall
apply: If an employee is eligible to participate in the Health Care Savings Arrangement for
Retiring Employees, the City will make a one-time contribution of the entire cash equivalent of
the employee’s vacation balance.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the personnel policy is amended as described herein is hereby approved.
