ESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MATCHING DONATION TO A PREVIOUS
ACCEPTED DONATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF FITNESS EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, participation in the Police Department’s physical fitness initiative has grown
and to accommodate this growth, there is a need for additional fitness equipment; and
WHEREAS, this equipment will enhance the physical health of members of the
department; and
WHEREAS, Torque Fitness is donating matching funds to a previously accepted
donation to the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund has dedicated available funds
through a specific donation for this purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the donation from Torque Fitness in the amount of $7,099 is
hereby accepted.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 12th day of January, 2016.
