RESOLUTION No. 2010-255
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST TO NOT CONSTRUCT
THE MAPLE CREEK TRAIL, FROM DUNKIRK TO VICKSBURG LANE
WHEREAS, the 2010-2014 Capital Improvement Program includes $370,000 funding for
community trail extensions; and
WHEREAS, preliminary costs provided by the Feasibility Study estimates constriction
fees to be $1,121,738 - $1,519,351; and
WHEREAS, based on constriction costs and feedback from area residents the Parks and
Recreation Advisory Commission has recommended to City Council that the Maple Creek Trail Project
not proceed at this time; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department staff has recommended that the Maple
Creek Trail Project not proceed at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the City does not proceed with constriction of a trail
segment connecting Dunkirk Lane to Vicksburg Lane and down to Maple Creek Park.
