A RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR THE REZONING OF LAND LOCATED AT
VICKSBURG LANE AND COUNTY ROAD 47 (2010052)
WHEREAS, DR Horton and Plymouth Housing Group, LLC have requested
reclassification of the zoning from FRD to PUD for the roughly 18 acres located at the northwest
corner of Vicksburg Lane and County Road 47, presently legally described as follows:
The east half of the northeast quarter, also the east 20 acres of the west half of the
northeast quarter; all in Section 5, Township 118, Range 22 west, Hennepin County,
Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcel from
FRD to PUD.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request
by DR Horton and Plymouth Housing Group, LLC. to rezone the roughly 18 -acre parcel from
FRD to PUD, based on the following findings:
1. The PUD zoning and proposed density would be consistent with the LA -3 guiding.
2. The proposed single-family and multiple -family development would be consistent with the
city's comprehensive plan.
3. Adequate infrastructure would be available to serve the proposed development.
4. The proposed development provides opportunities for affordable housing.
