MEETING OF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
December 14. 1971
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting
of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth was held on
December b, 1971 at the Council Chambers, 14900 C 23rd Avenue
North, Minneapolis, Minnesota, commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m.
The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen
Johnson, Hunt and Spaeth. The following members were
absent: Councilman Hintz

G,uncilman Spaeth introduced the following
resolution and moved its adoption:'
'RESOLUTION NO. 71 -ate
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER
AN ORDER WITH RESPECT TO A HAZARDOUS
AND DANGEROUS BUILDING AT 420 WEDGEWOOD LANE,
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the Building Inspector of the Village of Plymouth
has made a written report to the Council relative to the
condition of the structure at 410 Wedgewood Lancs, Plymouth,
Minnesota, which structure is deemed by said Building Inspector
to be in a hazardous and dangerous condition and,
WHEREAS, in s -id report said Building Inspector has
recommended that proceedings be commenced -for the correction,
razing or removal of said structure pursuant to applicable
statutes of the State of Minnesota, and
WHEREAS, said report has been examined and considered by
the Village Council,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Mayor and Vikage Manager of the
Village of Plymouth are authorized and
directed to enter an Order directed to the
owner of the premises at 420 Wedgewood Lane
and to all lien holders of record which Order
shall direct owner and lien holders to correct,
raze or remove the building thereon.
2. The Village Attorney is authorized and directed
to cause said Order to be served upon the
owners of record of said building, or their
agents, upon any occupants therein and to proceed
with the enforcement of said Order all as
provided in Sections 463.15 through 463.26,
Minnesota Statutes."
The above motion was seconded by
Councilman Johnson
and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen 1. Jahnson, Hunt and
Spaeth. The following voted against: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting
Village Clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby
certify that I have carefully compared the attached and fore-
going extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the Village
Council of said Village held December 14, 1971 with the original
thereof on file in my.office and the same is a full, true and
complete transcript therefrom insofar as the same relates to
authorizing and directing the Mayor and Village Manager to enter
an Order with respect to a hazardous and dangerous buiYiing at
420 Wedgewood Lane, Plymouth, Minnesota.
WITNESS, My hand officially as such Village Clerk and the
corporate seal of the Village this 15th day of Decenher ,
1971.

Pursuant to Resolution No. 71-456adopted by the Village
Council of the Village of Plymouth on December 14, 1971 and in
accordance with Sections 463.15 through 463.26 inclusive,
Minnesota Statutes, the Village of Plymouth finds that the
dwelling located at 420 Wedgewood Lane and situated on land lega
described as follows:
Lot 6, Greer's Orchard Tracts
To be hazardous and dangerous within the meaning of the
aforesaid statutes for the following reasons:
The entire building is in a state of disrepair and
constitutes an attractive nuisance to children. The
building contains no heating plant or other mechanical
equipment and has no electric lighting or wiring. All
of the windows are out and the chimneys are falling
apart. Foundation walls, bearing walls and non-bearing
walls are in poor condition. Altogether the entire
structure is a hazard to public health and safety.
Pursuant to the foregoing and in accordance with said
statutes,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the above -hazardous and
dangerous structure be repaired to eliminate the above-described
defects or that, in the alternative, said structure be razed or
removed and that said repairs to or the razing and removal of
such structure be completed within thirty (30) days of the
date of the service of this Order.
YOU ARE FURTHER ADVISED, that unless such corrective
action is taken or an answer to this Order is served upon the
Village of Plymouth and filed in the office of the Clerk of
District Court of Hennepin County, Minnesota within twenty (20)
days from the date of the day of service of this Order upon
you a motion for summary enforcement of this Order will be made
to the District Court of Hennepin County, Minnesota.
YOU ARE FURTHER ADVISED, that if the Village of Plymouth,
Minnesota is compelled to take any corrective action herein,
all necessary costs will be assessed against the real estate
described above and all necessary expenses will be certified to
the County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota for collection
and both of which will be collected as other taxes as provided
in Section 464.21, Minnesota Statutes.
