HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1971-452EXTRACT OF MINMES OF REGULAR MEETING OF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA DECEMBER 6. 1971 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of P':mouth was held on December 6, 1911 at the Council Chambers, 14900C 23rd Avenue North. Minneapolis. Minnesota commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hintz. Johnson, Hunt and Spaeth. The following memberr were absent: None. *a* eye* re* Councilman Johnson intv3duced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71-452 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE PRINTING OF REPLACEMENT BOND NO. 61 FOR PUBLIC IMPPOVBHENT BONDS OF 1966 - SERIES B WHEREAS, the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota issued and sold Public Improvement Bonds of 1966 - Series B dated November 1. 1966, and WHEREAS, George Rokoski, whose address is 2821 Pennsylvania Avenue South, St. Louis Park, Minnesota, has delivered to the Village Clerk his sworn affidavit that Bond No. 61 of said issue which matures November 1. 1980 with Coupon Nos. 7 to 27 inclusive representing semi-annual interest from November 1, 1970 to maturity attached, has been lost and asking that the Village issue a replacement bend, as authorized by Minnesota Statutes, Section 475.70 and has delivered to the Village Clerk a lost securities bond in the sum of $10.000.00 conditioned as required by law and with Granite State Insurance Company of Manchester, New Hampshire as surety thereon and. WHEREAS, the governing body is advised that it may authorize the issuance of another bond to the evner in its place correspcnding with the missing obligation as to number. date, amount and unpaid coupons, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS: "That the Village Clerk is authroized and directed to cause a suitable replacement bond to be printed, said bond to correspond with the missing bond as to date, number, amount and unpaid coupons. but both bonds and coupons to be of distinctive color and marked REPLACEMENT BOND and to be executed with the original facsimile signature and the manual signature of James G. Willis, Village Manager, and to deliver said bond to George Rokoski upon payment of all costs in connection with said replacement bonds including attorney's fees." The above motion was seconded by Councilman Hintz and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hintz, Johnson, Hunt and Spaeth. The following voted against: None. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. e*,� •et *eta STATE OF MINNESOTA ) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN ) SS VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH) I, the undersigned. being the duly qualified and acting Village Clerk of the Village of Plymouth. Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said Village held December 6. 1971 with the original thereof on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom insofar as the same relates to authorizing and directing the printing of Replacement Bond No. 61 for Public Improvement Bonds of 1966 - Series B.
