HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1971-435VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Pure.aac to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 15th day of November, 1971. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, Haunt and Spaeth. The following members were absent: None. Councilman Hunt introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71-435 WHEREAS, the rate of crime continues to rise each year in the Village of Plymouth and the other jurisdictions of Region G - Governor's Commission on Crime Prevention and Control; and WHEREAS, the resources to encounter the increasing crime rate are becoming more difficult to obtain; and WHEREAS, the Governor's.Commission.:on Crime Prevention and Control has given high priority to the matters -of information, communications and inter -agency cooperation;`'and WHEREAS, several criminal justice agencies representing all levels of local governments and all components of the criminal justice system have met for.the purpose of developing a plan for the creation of a criminal justice information system; and WHEREAS, an application for LEAH funds is being prepared for submission to the Governor's Commission on Crime Prevention and Control for assistance in the creation of the criminal justice in- formation system; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: Gives approval to the concept of a criminal justice infor- mation system for the criminal justice agencies within Region G - Governor's Commission on Crime Prevention and Control; and Further, that the Village Manager be directed to provide the participation required for research, planning and development as the Village's share in the development process, and Further, that no Village funds shall be appropriated and/or committed to this program until such time as the Plymouth Village Council authorizes it. ME The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Spaeth and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilman Johnson, Spaeth and Hunt. The following voted against: Councilman Hintz. Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, Spaeth and Hunt. T'he following members were absent: None. Councilman Spaeth and moved its adoption: introduced the following Resolution RESOLUTION NO. 71-436 WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 145.08 and 145.12, provision has been made for a public health nursing district in that portion of Hennepin County outside the City of Minneapolis, and WHEREAS, pursuant to such authority such a public health nursing district has been organized ani has been in operation for several years, and WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to continue the operation of such nursing district and to provide it with adequate funds for its proper operation. NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: "That this political subdivision continue to be included in the public health nursingAistrict of Suburban Hennepin County, organized on January, 4, 1952; that it participate in the benefits thereof; and that it agrees to support on an apportionment basis its pro rata share of the cost of the administration of such district provided, however, that for the period of January 1, 1972 through December 31, 1972, this cost shall not exceed 34G per capita on the basis of the last United States census. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall be deemed an agreement to continue to participate in such nursing district on the basis hereinbefore specified with all other political subdivisions adopting similar resolutions."
