HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1971-412VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIP Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 21st day of Ictober, 1971. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, Spaeth and Hunt. The following members were absent: None. Councilman Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUT_ON NO. 71-412 y WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the following Project 071-2,B Rraetz Lake Storm Sewer Outfall (Including Praject 071-0,8,9-D Sunny Acres Third Addition, Sewer, Water and Storm Sewer) improvement bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement. BIDDER BASE BID Austin P. Keller Construction Co. $48,944.60 Northdale Construction Co. 49,846.20 Minn -Kota Excavating, Inc. 54,095.34 Peter Lametti Construction 55,842.25 Q.R.S. Construction, Inc. 60,346.20 Gile 6 Nelson Construction 62,894.00 Barbarossa b Sons, Inc. 62,894.00 jIrwin Montgomery Construction 64,847.70 and, WHEREAS, it appears that Austin P. Keller Construction Company of 481 Front Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: "J. The Mayor and Village Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Austin P. Keller Construction Company, 481 Front Ave., St. Paul, Minn., in the name of the Village of Plymouth for PPoject No. 71-2,B for the Kraetz Lake Storm Sewer Outfall (Including Project 071-0,8,9-D Sunny Acres Third Addition Sewer, Water and Storm Sewer) according to the plans and speci- fications therefor approved by the Village Council and on file in the office of the Village Engineer. ii Page 2. Resolution No. 71-412 S3 2. The Village Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall t�e retained until a contract has been signed." The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Spaeth and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof., Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, Spaeth and Hunt. The following voted against or abstained: None.
