HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1971-264VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 19th day of July, 1971. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, Spaeth and Hunt. No one was absent. Councilman Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71-264 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the following Project No. 71-0,8-H 36th Avenue Street Grading (including Jonquil Lane Street Restoration) on 36th Avenue North from Zachary Lane to Jonquil Lane bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement. BIDDER TOTAL AriT. BID Jerome Begin $124,260.00 Matt Bullock Cont. Co. 139,632.50 Carl H. Peterson Co. 149,318.50 and, WHEREAS, it appears that Jerome Begin of 12615 County Road #9, is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Village Manager are hereby -authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Jerome Begin of 12615 County Road #9, in the name of the Village of Plymouth for Project 171-C?,8-H for 36th Avenue Street Grading (including Jonquil Lane Street Restoration on the following streets listed -above according to the plans and specificadous therefor approved by the Village Council and on file in the office of the Village Engineer. 2. The Village Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, excpet that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Spaeth and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hintz, Johnson, Spaeth and Hunt. No one voted against or abstained. Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. STATE OF COUNTY OF Ri;NWEPIN ) SS VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have care- fully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said village held July 19, 1971, with the original thereof on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom.
