HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1971-250VILLAGE OF PLY110I1TH RF.SnLUTION ACCF.PTINC BID Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 28th day of June, 1971. The following, members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, Spaeth and Hunt. No one was absent. Councilman Hunt introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71-250 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the following Project No. 71-0,A-1, Southeast Water Improvement, Part A bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement, to include compaction. BIDDER TOTAL AMT. OF B_ID Hoffman Brothers $621,678.55 Erwin Montgomery 624,903.50 Orfei h Sons 655,450.On Austin Keller 661,834.00 Northern Construction 684,323.00 Northdale Construction 716,230,00 WHEREAS, it appears that Hoffman Brothers of 10700 Lyndale Ave. So., *linneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Village Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Hoffman Brothers of 10700 Lyndale Ave. So., of Minneapolis in the name of the Village of Plymouth for Project 071-0,A-1,,Part A, Southeast Water Improvement according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the Village Co, icil and on file in the office of the Village Engineer. 2. The Village Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution wns duly seconded by Councilman Hintz and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: mayor Hilde, Councilmen Johnson, Hintz, Spaeth and Hunt. No one voted against or abstained. Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. STATE OF MINNESOTA } COUNTY OF HENNEPIN ) SS VILL4CF. OF PLYMOUTH) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of r special meeting of the Village Council of said Village held June 29, 1971, with the original thereof on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom.
