HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2015-351 CP ITY OF LYMOUTH RN.2016-351 ESOLUTION O RA2016C ESOLUTION PPROVING THE OMPENSATION AND CPN-RE LASSIFICATION LAN FOR ONEPRESENTED MPLOYEES WHEREAS, the classification and compensation plan has been updated to align with the 2016 budget which has been submitted to the Council for review and approval; and WHEREAS, the Council believes that the work performed by employees for the City of Plymouth should be recognized through formal wellness and recognition programs; and WHEREAS, the Council further believes that wellness and recognition programs often result in employee job satisfaction and productivity which result in excellent customer service for residents and businesses; and WHEREAS, the Council further believes that the safety practices of City of Plymouth employees have a direct impact on public service and on reduced rates for insurance and workers’ compensation claims; and WHEREAS, non-represented police and fire personnel are required to wear and maintain uniforms; and WHEREAS, staff has developed a recognition program for volunteers based on their service to the community; and WHEREAS, the programs listed herein provide a direct benefit to residents and local businesses; and WHEREAS, these programs have been funded under the appropriate line items in the budget as presented to the city council, NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEMAYORANDCITYCOUNCILOFTHECITY OFPLYMOUTH,MINNESOTA, hereby approves: 1.The 2016 Classification and Compensation Plan, 2016 health insurance plans and contributions and the 2016 split dollar payments. 2.Directs the City Manager to proceed with the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the compensation plan and its components. 3.Continues volunteer and employee recognition, and wellness and safety programs as budgeted.
