HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 12-01-2015 SpecialAdopted Minutes Special Council Meeting December 1 , 2015 Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on December 1, 2015. COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Beard, Carroll, Johnson, Prom, Willis, and Wosje. ABSENT: None. STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Administrative Services Director Fischer, and City Clerk Engdahl. Board and Commission Interviews The Council interviewed residents for a vacancies on boards and commissions. Council directed staff to prepare a resolution appointing individuals for the December 8th Council meeting. Council Coordinating Representatives and Deputy Mayor for 2016 The Council discussed Council Coordinating Representatives and Deputy Mayor for 2016. Council directed staff to prepare resolutions appointing the Council Coordinating Representatives and Councilmember Willis as Deputy Mayor for 2016 for the December 8th Council meeting. Public Involvement on PACT (Plymouth Advisory Committee on Transit The Council discussed the draft public involvement plan for PACT rather utilizing an advisory committee. The plan proposed using focus groups for various areas of the transit system. The majority of the Council supported this type of plan. Therefore, they directed staff to prepare documents to dissolve the PACT. In addition, after a brief discussion, they directed staff to prepare documents to dissolve the Human Rights Committee. Both of these items would be on the December 8th Council agenda. Adopted Minutes 1 of 2 Special Meeting of December 1, 2015 Set Future Study Sessions The Council scheduled the following study sessions: 1. Ponderosa Pond street reconstruction: January 12th at 5:30 p.m. 2.
