RESOLUTION No. 2010-135
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THREE
PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 5550, 5600 AND 5660 VICKSBURG LANE (2010028)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has initiated a comprehensive plan amendment to
reguide three properties currently guided LA -3 with a combined total of roughly 25 acres. The
northerly property (5660 Vicksburg Lane) would be reguided LA -2 and the two southerly
properties (5600 and 5550 Vicksburg) to LA -R2; and
WHEREAS, the property affected by the amendment is presently described as follows:
The south '/z of the northwest '/4 of the southwest '/4 of Section 4, Township 118, Range
22, Hennepin County, Minnesota (PIDs 04-118-22-32-0003 and -0004)
and,
The north '/z of the northwest '/4 of the southwest '/4 of the southwest '/4 of Section 4,
Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota. (PID 04-18-22-33-0004)
WHEREAS, the northerly 10 acres would be guided LA -2 and are described as follows:
The north '/z of the south '/2 of the northwest '/4 of the southwest '/4 of Section 4,
Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota (PIDs 04-118-22-32-0004)
WHEREAS, the southerly 15 acres would be guided LA -R2 and are decribed as follows:
The south '/z of the south '/z of the northwest '/4 of the southwest '/4 of Section 4,
Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota (PIDs 04-118-22-32-0003)
And,
The north '/z of the northwest '/4 of the southwest '/4 of the southwest '/4 of Section 4,
Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota. (PID 04-18-22-33-0004)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public
Hearing and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
request initiated by the City of Plymouth to reguide the northerly property (5660 Vicksburg
Lane) from LA -3 to LA -2 and the two southerly properties (5600 and 5550 Vicksburg) from
LA -3 to LA -R2, and based on the finding that the amendment a) is supported by the
Resolution 2010-135

topographic conditions, size and shape of the wetland and Bass Creek; b) would not adversely
affect land supply or demand; c) would not result in significant negative effects on other
comprehensive plan elements; and d) has no negative fiscal impacts to the City.
FURTHER, approval of the comprehensive plan amendments is contingent upon, and subject
to, the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
