HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2010-119CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2010-119 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A PRELIMINARY AGREEMENT WITH MN/DOT FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM ON TRUNK HIGHWAY 55 AT PLYMOUTH BOULEVARD WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) intends to replace an existing traffic control system at Think Highway 55 and Plymouth Boulevard / Niagara Lane; and WHEREAS, Mn/DOT has requested cost participation by the City in replacement of said traffic control system and has requested authorization of a preliminary agreement to identify the cost participation and responsibilities of both parties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The City agrees to participate with Mn/DOT in the cost to remove the existing traffic control signal and install a new traffic control signal with street lights, emergency vehicle preemption, interconnect and signing on Think Highway 55 at Plymouth Boulevard/ Niagara Lane; and 2. The scope of the project may be expanded to include improvements on Plymouth Boulevard and Niagara Lane; and 3. An agreement shall be prepared by Mn/DOT for execution by both parties; and 4. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. APPROVED THIS 11TH DAY OF MAY, 2010. STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS.
