Resolution No. 2000-636
AUTHORIZATION TO APPLY FOR
2001 PARK AND TRAIL GRANTS
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has requested applications for park
and trail grants for 2001; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has a number of projects that meet the criteria for applying for
said grants; and
WHEREAS, funding for the planning grant will be matched by either park dedication or other
dedicated planning money, and the remaining grants will be taken care of by park dedication as
part of the adopted capital improvement program;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized to prepare
grant applications with the Minnesota DNR as outlined below:
Northwest Greenway Planning Grant
Outdoor Recreation Grant for Mud Lake Neighborhood Park
Natural and Scenic Areas Grant primarily for the Northwest Greenway
Acquisition and Development of Trails Grant for the Northwest Greenway
Adopted by the City Council on December 19, 2000.
