HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2000-625CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2000-625 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID EMERGENCY VEHICLE PRE-EMPTION SYSTEMS (EVP) CITY PROJECT NO. 8015 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of EVP Systems at Sixteen (16) intersections and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY BID Ridgedale Electric $124,500.00 E.I.M. Company $126,228.00 Electric Service Company $128,249.35 Killmer Electric $137,616.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Ridgedale Electric, Inc. of Long Lake, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Ridgedale Electric, Inc. of Long Lake, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the installation of Emergency Vehicle Pre-emption Systems (EVP) according to the plans and specifications herewith approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Public Works Director in the amount of $124,500.00. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
