HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2000-603CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO: 2000-603 APPROVING THE 2001 PAY AND COMPENSATION PLAN WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth uses job evaluation in order to determine job value; and WHEREAS, this plan is in compliance with Minnesota Statute 471, commonly known as the "Pay Equity Law"; and WHEREAS, the classification and compensation plan has been updated to reflect changes to the 2001 budget proposals submitted to the City Council for review; and WHEREAS, in keeping with good management practice, City employees and volunteers are sometimes rewarded for suggestions, good health and safety practices, longevity and good service; and WHEREAS, volunteers are also recognized for their service to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does: 1. Approve the 2001 Classification and Compensation Plans attached hereto effective January 6, 2001. 2. Directs the City Manager to proceed with the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the plan and its components. 3. Approves continuation of volunteer and employee recognition and wellness programs as budgeted. 4. Approve an increase of 3.418% plus $420 in the pay of the City Manager 5. Approve a change to the monthly mileage allowance for the City Manager from $300 per month to $400 per month Adopted by the City Council on December 19, 2000.
