RESOLUTION NO. 2000-596
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT
WITH THE MINNESOTA DPEARTMENT OF HEALTH
FOR A YOUTH TOBACCO ACCESS
ENFORCEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, a need has been identified to work on Internet youth access to tobacco
products; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has given youth access a high priority for this year;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, acting as fiscal agent, along with the Tobacco
Project at William Mitchell College of Law, Hennepin County Community Health
Department, and Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council, made application
for this funding and received notification of acceptance of our grant for the period
December 2000 through June 30, 2001 in the amount of $32,694 to work on the
Internet sales youth access project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, that the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing the
Mayor and City Manager to enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota
Department of Health for a youth tobacco access enforcement project.
