HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2000-537CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2000-537 APPROVING A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR WOLD ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS FOR A BUILDING EXPANSION AT ZACHARY LANE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 4350 ZACHARY LANE (20157) WHEREAS, Wold Architects and Engineers has requested a site plan amendment to allow a building expansion at Zachary Lane Elementary School, located at 4350 Zachary Lane; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for a site plan amendment to allow a building expansion at Zachary Lane Elementary School, subject to the following conditions: 1. This site plan amendment allows construction of a roughly 7,879 -square foot building expansion at Zachary Lane Elementary School, as shown on the plans received by the City on September 29, 2000, except as amended by this resolution. 2. The applicant must obtain the appropriate permits from the Building Division prior to commencing any work on the building. 3. Any roof -top equipment shall be screened or painted to match the building. 4. This resolution approves a variance to the Fire Code requirement for a fire lane within 50 feet of the east side of the building, subject to the conditions listed in the Fire Inspector's Memorandum. 5. The entire building shall be protected by an approved NFPA 13 monitored fire sprinkling system. Resolution 2000-537 (20157) Page 2 6. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per Ordinance provisions. 7. The approval is subject to all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances, and violation thereof shall be grounds for revocation. 8. Standard Conditions: a. Compliance with City Engineer's Memorandum. b. Compliance with the Ordinance regarding the location of post indicator valve, fire department lock box, fire hydrants, fire department connection, fire lanes, and fire lane signage. c. Submission of a Site Improvement Performance Agreement prior to issuance of building permits. d. An 8 '/z x 11 inch "As Built" Fire Protection Plan shall be submitted prior to the release of reduction of any site improvement bonds per City Policy. e. This approval shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the property owner or applicant has substantially started construction of the project, or unless the landowner or applicant has received prior approval from the City to extend the expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under Section 21045.09 of the Zoning Ordinance.
