RESOLUTION NO. 2000-501
APPROVAL OF ONE CURRENT MODEL 100 FT.
AERIAL PLATFORM/PUMPER FIRE TRUCK
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized receipt of bids for the purchase of One current
model 100 ft. aerial platform/pumper fire truck for the City of Plymouth, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the State Statue bid specifications were prepared and
distributed and bid proposals were received and opened on August 31, 2000, and
WHEREAS, the following bids were received:

Metro Fire bidding a ("E -One
fire truck")
Clarey Safety Equipment
bidding a ("Pierce" fire truck)
General Safety bidding a
("General Safety" fire truck)

$577,736.00 $57,500.00
WHEREAS, General Safety made several exceptions and clarifications to the specifications and
further stated "Prices, options, chassis model type and standards are all subject to change without
prior notice" and
WHEREAS, The bid from Clarey's Safety Equipment Inc. representing Pierce Manufacturing
Inc. substantially meets all specifications, and has many of this type of fire truck in operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, THAT THEY ACCEPT THE BID FROM CLAREY' S
SAFETY EQUIPMENT INC. AS FOLLOWS:
BASE BID $627,500.00
LESS TRADE IN $50,000.00
CONTRACT AMOUNT $577,500.00
FURTHER, that the funding is as follows: 602-1760-8004
Adopted by the City Council on October 10, 2000.
