HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2000-435CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2000-435 AUTHORIZING THE PRIVATE SALE OF PARCEL 22-118-22-44-0053 TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNER WHEREAS, Hennepin County has provided the City notice of a conservation property (Lot 1, Block 1, Creekwood Heights 2nd Addition) which has become tax forfeit as a result of nonpayment of property taxes and/or special assessments; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Council's Tax Forfeit Land policy, the parcel has been reviewed; and WHEREAS, parcel 22-118-22-44-0053 does not serve a public purpose to justify acquisition by the City; and WHEREAS, the majority of the parcel is in the floodplain, with a possible 617W DNR designation; and WHEREAS, the parcel is substandard from a development perspective and unbuildable in its current condition. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that it hereby recommends to Hennepin County with regard to Parcel 22-118-22-44-0053 that: 1. This parcel should be classified as Conservation Land. 2. This parcel is unbuildable in its current condition and is recommended for private sale to the adjacent owner(s). The City verifies that there were no special assessments against this parcel before forfeiture. 4. There are no known wells or public nuisance conditions on the parcel. The parcel is in the floodplain. Adopted by the City Council on September 5, 2000.
