RESOLUTION NO. 2010-012
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A TWO YEAR CONTRACT FOR TREE REMOVAL,
TRIMMING &t HAULING FOR THE YEARS 2010-2011
WHEREAS, the Forestry Division will act on the 2010 - 2011 Tree Removal, Street Tree
Trimming & Hauling on City owned lands and
WHEREAS; in accordance with City bid, specifications were proposed and distributed and
bid proposals were received and opened on December 18, 2010 and
WHEREAS; the twenty (20) contractors received bid specifications, and 5 valid bids were
received by the City:

Davey Tree Expert Co. 300,440.00
Ostvig Tree, Inc 301,000.00
S&S Tree Specialists 309,300.00
Bartlett Tree Experts 319,400.00
AND, WHEREAS, the bid of Rainbow Treecare is in conformance with City specifications for
tree removal, street tree trimming & hauling, Rainbow Treecare is therefore declared lowest
responsible bidder and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the City accepts the proposal of Rainbow
Treecare for fiscal years 2010 - 2011. Further, those fiinds are authorized from accounts no.
100-40-412-41200-7500.124, 100-40-412-41200-7500.300, 100-40-412-41200-7500.301 &
100-40-412-41200-7500.302 not to exceed $157,800 per calendar year.
