HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2000-400CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2000-400 APPROVING SITE PLAN AMENDMENT AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR QWEST WIRELESS TO ALLOW THE PLACEMENT OF A MONOPOLE TOWER, ANTENNAS, AND RELATED GROUND EQUIPMENT AT 15395 — 31sT AVENUE NORTH (20102) WHEREAS, Qwest Wireless has requested approval of a site plan amendment and conditional use permit to locate a monopole tower, antenna, and related ground equipment on the following described property: That Lot 5, Block 1, Playhouse Industrial Park 2nd Addition. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Qwest Wireless for a site plan amendment and conditional use permit at 15395 — 31st Avenue North, subject to the following conditions: 1. This approval is for a site plan amendment and conditional use permit for a 59 -foot monopole tower, antennas, and related ground equipment pursuant to the application dated July 3, 1999, except as amended by this resolution. 2. The project requires applicable building permits prior to placement of the tower, antennas and ground equipment. 3. The applicant shall obtain all necessary local, state, and federal approvals and permits, and such approvals and permits are not abrogated by the issuance of the conditional use permit. The tower shall be painted a non -contrasting color consistent with the surrounding area such as: blue, gray, brown, or silver, or have a galvanized finish to reduce visual impact. 5. The tower shall be designed to allow for future rearrangemnt of antennas upon the tower and to accept antennas mounted at varying heights. 6. Compliance with the general standard for antennas, as outlined in Section 21175.02 of the Zoning Ordinance. 7. Standard Conditions: a) The permit is subject to all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances, and violation thereof shall be grounds for revocation. b) Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per ordinance provisions. c) The site plan amendment and conditional use permit approvals shall expire in one- year from the date of approval, unless the project is substantially completed or an extension is applied for and granted, as regulated under Sections 21045.09 and 21015.07 of the Zoning Ordinance.
