RESOLUTION 2000-394
ADOPTING PLYMOUTH COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE (98025)
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes (Minn. Stat. §473.175-473.871, 1996) requires that cities
periodically review and revise their comprehensive plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has updated its Comprehensive Plan in its entirely, involving
residents and landowners throughout the process; and
WHEREAS, the City completed a draft revised plan, dated February 12, 2000 for public review
and comment; and
WHEREAS, on February 25, 2000 the City transmitted the draft plan to adjacent local
governments and all affected school districts, as required by law and the Metropolitan Council's
plan amendment review process; and
WHEREAS, on March 29, 2000, the Plymouth Planning Commission held a public hearing on the
draft plan and recommended approval of the plan and submission to the Metropolitan Council for
review; and
WHEREAS, on April 25, 2000 the City Council gave preliminary approval to the draft
Comprehensive Plan update dated February 12, 2000 and directed staff to submit the plan to the
Metropolitan Council for review; and
WHEREAS, on July 26, 2000, the Metropolitan Council completed its review of the Plymouth
Comprehensive Plan and adopted its review record which found that found that the City of
Plymouth may put its Comprehensive Plan into effect and no plan modification is required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it hereby adopts the Comprehensive Plan update with the
following conditions and direction to staff:
1. All previous Comprehensive Plans and amendments thereto are hereby repealed, except where
such plans or elements thereof are incorporated by reference in the two -volume plan
document dated February 12, 2000.
2. The final plan document shall include the changes as listed in Attachment A to this resolution.

3. Staff is directed to submit the Tier II comprehensive sewer plan (Chapter 10 of the
Comprehensive Plan, as modified by Attachment A) to the Metropolitan Council for final
approval, as required by Minnesota Statutes 473.513.
