CITY OF PLYMOUTH
APPROVAL OF PURCHASE OF ONE NEW
CURRENT MODEL 350 KW PORTABLE GENERATOR SET
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved in the 2000 budget the purchase of a new current
model 350 KW Portable Generator Set; and
WHEREAS, specifications were prepared and an advertisement for bids was published in the
Plymouth Sun Sailor on June 28, 2000; and
WHEREAS, three bids were submitted, all of them substantially meeting the specifications.
They were:
Cummins North Central Inc.
$55,151.02
Interstate Power Systems
$60,359.94
Ziegler Power Systems
$76,105.97
WHEREAS, Cummins North Central Inc. has provided the lowest bid and has fully met the
specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA; To purchase a current model 350 KW Portable
Generator Set from Cummins North Central Inc. for $55,151.02 including Minnesota sales tax.
FURTHER, that the funding will be:
501-1721-8004 $27,575.51
502-1730-8004 $27,575.51
Adopted by the City Council on July 25, 2000.
