RESOLUTION NO: 2000-332
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDING
FROM THE MINNESOTA SAFETY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, a need has been identified to educate pedestrians and drivers about Minnesota'
crosswalk law to gain compliance with it; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has given this need a high priority for this year; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Safety Council has notified cities of grant funding available for these
types of programs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth made application for this funding and received notification of
acceptance of our grant and a check in the amount of $1,450.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution endorsing a program to address pedestrian
and crosswalk safety within the City of Plymouth through a public information campaign, traffic
enforcement, and positive reinforcement; and accepting grant funding for this project through the
Minnesota Safety Council.
