AUTHORIZING THE PLYMOUTH HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
FOR A LIVABLE COMMUNITIES DEMONSTRATION ACCOUNT GRANT FOR THE
RESERVE DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS the City of Plymouth is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's Housing
Incentives Program for 2000 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible
to make application for funds under the Livable Communities Demonstration Account; and
WHEREAS the City has identified The Reserve by Rottlund Homes as a proposed project within
the City that meets the Demonstration Account's purpose/s and criteria; and
WHEREAS the City and its Housing and Redevelopment Authority has the institutional,
managerial and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and
WHEREAS the City and the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority certifies that it will
comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements; and
WHEREAS the City Council and the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota agree to act as legal sponsors for the project contained in the
Demonstration Account application to be submitted and as specified in the Phase I and Phase II
Demonstration Account Applications to be submitted to the Metropolitan Council by June 2,
2000 and August 31, 2000 respectively by August 8, 1997;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment
Authority and its Executive Director are hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council
for this funding on behalf of the City of Plymouth and to execute such agreements as are
necessary to implement the project on behalf of the applicants.
