RESOLUTION NO. 2000-255
ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
111h AVENUE STREET CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 9911
WHEREAS, The City of Plymouth received a petition from over 50% of the property owners adjacent
to l lth Avenue North between South Shore Drive and Cul-de-sac East requesting improvements to l lth
Avenue North; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2000-219 of the City Council adopted the 25th day of April, 2000, set May
9th, 2000 for a public hearing with respect to the improvement of l lth Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project includes upgrading an existing gravel roadway by the construction of
streets by the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and all
necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2000-219 of the City Council adopted the 25th day of April, 2000,
accepted the preliminary engineering report which concluded that the proposed project is feasible,
necessary and cost effective; and
WHEREAS, ten days published notice of the hearing through two weekly publications of the required
notice was given and the hearing was held thereon the 9th day of May, 2000, at which time all persons
desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and
WHEREAS, ordering this improvement requires a majority vote of the Council since the project has
been petitioned for by the benefiting owners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council resolution adopted April
25, 2000.
2. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the improvement.
They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
Adopted by the City Council on May 9, 2000.
