RESOLUTION 2000-229
APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR
NEW VOTING EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth's Optech IIIP voting equipment is obsolete and in need of
replacement; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County proposes to purchase new voting equipment for all cities within
Hennepin County at no cost to the cities; and
WHEREAS, this is a financial benefit to the City of Plymouth as well as to the taxpayers due to
the cost savings from the large volume purchased; and
WHEREAS, the County has proposed a lease agreement whereby the City will lease the
equipment at an annual cost to cover the equipment maintenance.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that the
Hennepin County/City of Plymouth Lease Agreement (Agreement No. A08230) is hereby
approved and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to sign the agreement on
behalf of the City.
