RESOLUTION NO. 2000-209
ACKNOWLEDGING AND ACCEPTING THE CONDITIONS OF
HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR THE
VOLUNTARY PURCHASE OF RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES
COUNTY ROAD 101 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 9005
WHEREAS, the County Road 101 Improvement Project from County Road 24 to Trunk Highway
55 has been reviewed by the City and the preliminary alignment approved by the City Council on
October 19, 1999; and
WHEREAS, additional right-of-way and/or easements are required from property owners in various
locations along the project boundaries; and
WHEREAS, certain residential properties abutting the project boundaries may have significant
impacts from the project, but total purchase is not necessary for the project to proceed; and
WHEREAS, the City and County have agreed to voluntarily purchase eight residential properties in
order to alleviate the concerns of these property owners; and
WHEREAS, the City will act as the lead purchasing agent as well as the agent to resell the
properties after the project has been completed; and
WHEREAS, it is felt both by the City and County that this voluntary program should not add or be
minimal to the overall cost of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota
hereby acknowledges and accepts the eight conditions contained in the March 24, 2000 letter from
Vern T. Genzlinger, Assistant County Administrator and County Engineer, to Fred Moore, Director
of Public Works with the City of Plymouth.
Adopted by the City Council on April 11, 2000.
