HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2000-163CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2000-163 AWARD CONTRACT 1999 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 9001 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of streets in the 1999 Street Reconstruction Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $ 1,107,854.94 Ingram Excavating $ 1,124,960.75 F. M. Frattalone $ 1,143,326.15 Doboszenski & Sons, Inc. $ 1,178,082.16 Eureka Construction $ 1,217,179.75 Hardrives, Inc. $ 1,293,976.40 Midwest Asphalt, Inc. $ 1,379,147.55 S. M. Hentges & Sons $ 1,379,302.00 C. S. McCrossan $ 1,709,801.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA THAT the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 1999 Street Reconstruction Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $1,107,854.94. FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the funding for the 1999 Street Reconstruction Project be as follows: Funding Source Assessments: $386,000 City of Minnetonka $41,000 Utility Trunk Fund (sanitary sewer repair) $24,000 Infrastructure Replacement Fund $989,000 Total Funding $1,440,000 Adopted by the City Council on March 21, 2000.
