HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2011-428CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2011-428 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, FOR THE PROJECT TOWARDS ZERO DEATHS WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is to enhance the opportunity to focus on traffic violations; and WHEREAS, The fiends from the grant will pay the overtime cost of the participating officers to enforce moving violations, unsafe driving practices, impaired drivers and conduct seat belt surveys; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that City of Plymouth adopt this resolution authorizing the Plymouth Police Department to enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety for the project named Towards Zero Deaths during the period from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012.
