RESOLUTION No. 2011-414
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO REGUIDE
TWO PARCELS LOCATED AT 3155 EMPIRE LANE AND 3050 FERNBROOK LANE

WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has initiated a comprehensive plan amendment to
reguide roughly three acres from CO (commercial office) to C (commercial); and
WHEREAS, the affected properties are legally described as follows:
Lot 1, Block 1, Town and Country Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Lot 1, Block 1, Plymouth Freeway Center -1 Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
hearing and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
reguiding of the roughly three -acre site located at 3155 Empire Lane and 3050 Fernbrook Lane
from CO (commercial office) to C (commercial), based on the following findings:
1) The location criteria are met for the requested reguiding.
2) The current conditions warrant a re-examination of the guiding.
3) The reguiding would not adversely affect land supply or demand.
4) The reguiding has merit.
5) The reguiding would not result in negative effects on other comprehensive plan
elements.
6) The reguiding would not result in negative fiscal impacts to the city.
FURTHER, approval of the comprehensive plan amendment is contingent upon, and
subject to, the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
