RESOLUTION No. 2011-362
A RESOLUTION APPROVING FUND BALANCE POLICY
WHEREAS, the City establishes policies to ensure consistency and
accountability; and
WHEREAS, reporting guidelines are specified in Statement No. 54 of the
Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB); and
WHEREAS, classifying the various components of fund balance are
designed to indicate the extent to which the city is bound to honor constraints on
the specific purposes for which amounts in the fiend can be spent; and
WHEREAS, guidelines are set forth to establish a minimum and
maximum level at which the general fund balance is to be maintained.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA hereby adopt the
Fund Balance Policy.
